Reportedly built in 1885, the building that housed a general merchandise store and post office before becoming Sanford Hardware had been a staple in the Sanford community for well over 125 years. As a result of the flood and dam failure in May 2020, the original structure was completely destroyed. Knowing the importance of Sanford Hardware to the local community, Three Rivers and its partners rebuilt this landmark business from the ground up to ensure the store and community could continue to support one another well into the future.

Sanford Hardware was recognized as an Associated Builders and Contractors

Nationally Recognized

In 2021, Sanford Hardware was recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors as one of the most significant construction projects completed during that calendar year. Sanford Hardware received a “Pyramid” Award, which is ABC’s second-highest national honor.
