Three Rivers Corporation received three awards at the Greatness & Gratitude Awards Celebration on Thursday, September 12th held at Apple Mountain in Freeland. They received awards in the Excellence in Construction category, as well as a Diamond award in the Safety Training & Evaluation Process (STEP) from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Michigan Chapter.

Paul Crivac, Safety Director, was recognized for his hard work and dedication in safety. He was awarded the Pete Crawford Safety Professional of the Year. Paul is the first to receive it twice for his contribution to not just Associated Builders & Contractors, Greater Michigan Chapter, but also for his contributions to Associated Builders & Contractors National. Paul is one of the founding safety professionals of ABC National Safety Professional Council.

“Three Rivers earned this Excellence in Construction award and Diamond award in the Safety Training & Evaluation Process for their outstanding craftsmanship, teamwork, quality, and safety processes. The Greater Michigan Associated Builders and Contractors is pleased to honor them with these awards and proud to have them lead the industry in the merit shop way,” said Jimmy Greene, CEO/President of the ABC The Greater Michigan Chapter.

Each year, the ABC Greater Michigan Chapter provides an opportunity for members to compete for honors in the construction industry’s premier annual awards program: the Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards. The EIC Awards recognize the outstanding Merit Shop construction projects completed during the previous year by member companies. The winners were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety, and cost.

ABC of Greater Michigan honored Three Rivers Corporation for their construction of Whiting Forest in the category 2019 Excellence in Construction GC/CM: New Construction – Over $10 Million.

The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award recognizes efforts of ABC members who strive to achieve effective safety practices within their companies; it is an organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs. ABC provides contractors with tools to objectively evaluate their safety programs, policies, procedures and training.

“We are honored to again receive this recognition from the Associated Builders and Contractors Greater Michigan Chapter. Cultivating an environment that promotes and maintains safe and productive results for our employees, craft workers, customers, subcontractors, and the communities we work in has been a core value for Three Rivers,” says Jon Lynch, President at Three Rivers Corporation. “By applying best practices of effective training and employee engagement, we strive to ensure that every one of our men and women that work on our projects returns home safely each day.
