The Sanford Center is a home away from home for many of its members. With the previous center rendered uninhabitable due to the 2017 flood, Senior Services wanted to create a safer, more stable facility. Senior Services partnered with Jerome Township who was planning on a nature-based recreation park with amenities open to residents. Their vision was to create a multi-generational, multi-purpose, inclusive recreation/wellness and enrichment complex.
Three Rivers designed the new activity and dining center for older adults and added many components of the multi-generational, recreation and wellness complex that will also include a walking path, pickle ball courts and more.
